The Pandemic arguably has been awful on so many levels.
However, the exodus from cities and into suburban areas like Marin County has resulted in record home sales. In fact, seven of our 27 cities have ranked as the most expensive real estate during the last six months. While the two top median NATIONAL home sale prices goes to Atherton and Beverly Hills (no surprise there), one big surprise is that no urban city made the top 10. Even Tahoe made the top 10 - a first - as buyers flocked to the sea and the mountains.
While California dominates the national scene, here are the stats for Marin:
*Ross ranked 6th with a 2020 median sale price of $3.605 million
*Belvedere Tiburon ranked 13th with a 2020 median sale price of $3.147 million
*Bolinas ranked 21st with a 2020 median sale price of $2.850 million
*Stinson Beach ranked 27th with a 2020 median sale price of $2.7 million
*Kentfield/Greenbrae ranked 49th with a 2020 median sale price of $2.172 million
*Larkspur ranked 87th with a 2020 median sale price of $1.75 million
*Mill Valley ranked 94th with a 2020 median sale price of $1.725 million
